Sarah McLean

“World peace depends on inner peace: mine, yours, and everyone else’s. I’ve taught thousands of people to meditate over the last 20 years, and when people live with less stress, increased well-being, and more kindness, they create a more peaceful life, and that causes a ripple effect in their world. That’s the main reason why I practice meditation—to feel more peaceful and connected. It’s also the reason I teach meditation—to help to create more peace on this planet for all beings who call it home.”

-Sarah McLean

Sarah McLean calls herself an American Transcendentalist, she’s always been fascinated by the subtle and powerful force at the source of all that is. She’s made it her mission to know more. That’s why she’s dedicated her life to exploring meditation, a practice that allows anyone to have the direct experience of this force field that underlies all of creation.

Sarah was a resident in a Zen Buddhist monastery, lived and worked in a Transcendental Meditation center, and was a resident in a traditional ashram in India.  She also headed up the education programs at Deepak Chopra’s center in California as well as at Byron Katie’s School for the Work.

Sarah is a best-selling Hay House author and sought-after presenter who is determined to create more peace on this planet by helping people wake up to the wonder and beauty of creation through the practice of meditation. Read more about her here.

Where should you start?

It all depends on you. Here are some suggestions from Sarah:

  • Some people want to take meditation one step at a time. So to start, they gain instruction by listening to my Meditate CD which includes instruction in meditation and three powerful guided meditations. You can sign up here to listen to a selection of meditations here for free.
  • Others embark in my eight-week program outlined in my first book, Soul-Centered, Transform Your Life in 8 Weeks with Meditation (Hay House)
  • Perhaps you are called to immerse yourself in meditation at a weekend retreat in Sedona, Arizona or at one of the exciting destinations where I offer meditation retreats in the U.S. and Europe. The self-discovery retreats in Sedona include the Creative Soul Writing Retreat for Women and the Soul Radiance Mindfulness & Meditation Retreat. Whether you come to Sedona, or meet me at a destination spa, or come to a retreat in Europe, I will give you personal instruction in meditation and mindfulness, and guide you into powerful inquiry practices to help you to heal, transform, rejuvenate, and rekindle inner peace.
  • If you want to learn to meditate and live more mindfully you can take the class I designed after years of teaching. It’s the SEED Meditation class, a half day program during which you’ll learn how to be successful in each and every meditation.

Even if you are one of those people with a very busy mind, all you need is the willingness to take a short time out every day to do the practice. You can learn in a group class or privately with one of our highly trained meditation teaches in Sedona. Or, find a class near you offered by one of our expert meditation instructors. They’ll take the mystery out of meditation and guide you every step of the way (find an MMI Certified Meditation & Mindfulness Teacher near you.)
