Unfortunately, there are no scholarships for the teacher training program, but there is a payment plan. The tuition for the Meditation Teacher Academy teacher training program is $3495. The tuition includes the materials and support during the Awaken Meditation Foundation Course and Become Teacher Training Course.
First, you’ll need to apply to the Meditation Teacher Academy.
Fill out the application, send in two personal recommendations, and write a short essay. There is a $25 application fee. It is important to note that you must have a committed, daily personal meditation practice at the time of your application and, by the time you complete the program, you must have been engaged in one year of daily meditation experience. Then, in order to qualify for the payment plan, you’ll give McLean Meditation Institute permission to check your credit score.
Once you let MMI know you want to enroll with a payment plan, you will be sent an email from Experian (a credit score organization) to give MMI permission to view your credit score. There may be a fee associated with this. Your credit score will be reviewed by MMI to determine whether you qualify for financing. You will be notified via email and be sent a promissory note with the terms noted below when you qualify.
Next, you’ll receive an email to set up an interview with the Academy’s director, Sarah McLean.
If the program is a good fit, and you are qualified, you’ll be invited to enroll in the program. Once you are accepted into the program, and your credit is approved, you will then be sent the Enrollment Agreement and Promissory Note with the terms of the financing.
Payment plans are not eligible for discounted tuition fees.
The general terms of the Promissory Note are as follows: The Borrower (student) agrees to pay 1/2 of the tuition at the time of Enrollment. The Borrower agrees to pay the second 1/2 of the tuition within 90 days from the Enrollment date.
Once you return your signed Enrollment Agreement, Promissory Note, and first payment to MMI, you are considered enrolled in the program and will be sent your materials right away.
