After retiring from a busy stressful career and the sudden lose of her mother, she felt overwhelmed, stressed out, depressed, and had to take Ambien to get to sleep. One day, Brenda said, "Enough, this is not going to be my life."
That's when she found a path of healing, better sleep, and self-discovery, and meditation was a key component. In a short time she began to experience peace in her heart,. And she could hear her inner voice, felt calm in the midst of chaos, and learned to live more in awareness of the present moment instead of dwelling in the past or worrying about the future ...and blaming others. She now finds her own happiness and freedom within herself.
Even though Brenda had been offering a body awareness and relaxation meditation to her clients, she felt that she lacked the essential knowledge and tools to truly experience and share the benefits of meditation. Brenda is very grateful for finding an inspiring teacher, Sarah McLean, and her book, Soul-Centered: Transform Your Life in 8 Weeks with Meditation. Her own journey to wholeness led her to pursue a 200-hour meditation teacher training certification from the McLean Meditation Institute's Meditation Teacher Academy. She was so excited to teach others meditation and mindfulness, what Brenda considers the Perfect Path to Peace and Happiness.
