Cyndi Moffitt began her meditation journey in March 2014, when she attended a Meditation Retreat lead by Sarah McLean. She had been experiencing the emotional, physical, and mental effects of stress in her life. High blood pressure, chronic bronchitis, and stomach issues were some of her physical symptoms along with emotional reactivity, anger, worry, and fear. When she read about the retreat and the benefits of meditation she felt this could be exactly what she needed. Learning to meditate was life-changing! After she left the retreat she began to develop her “practice” of meditating daily. The benefits showed up in ways she never imagined! The most profound change was the ability to feel “peace” within, regardless of the “storms” or stresses of life. Acting instead of reacting, feeling compassion, kindness, love, and PEACE. Her blood pressure became normal and her stomach issues and chronic colds, etc. seemed to diminish until they were gone.
After two years of practice, it became Cyndi’s heart desire to teach meditation to others so they too may experience the many benefits of meditation. “Be the change you wish to see in the World” (Mahatma Gandhi) is her favorite quote she lives by. Cyndi became a Certified Meditation & Mindfulness Instructor (CMMI) with the McLean Meditation Institute in August of 2017.
Cyndi is passionate about helping others. The SEED Method, Simple, Easy, Everyday Meditation is taught with compassion, kindness, and patience. She has taught in a wide variety of settings including High school and Elementary school classrooms, Community Civic Center meeting rooms, Health Fair, and even informal group settings in homes.
