“My greatest joy is to help people connect with their own inner wisdom, and teach them to trust and express their true nature in all aspects of life. I teach my clients the tools to de-stress, and I support them in their healing and life transformation—especially when they are facing difficult circumstances. I know how to guide them because I made the journey myself.”
Pauline Lucas is a doctor of physical therapy, certified yoga therapist, and wellness coach with over 30 years of experience in the wellness and healthcare industry. She currently practices at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona where she integrates yoga and meditation with more conventional physical therapy methods. She is also a faculty member at the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine.
Pauline became a dedicated meditator when, shortly after the birth of her second daughter, her marriage broke down and she received a diagnosis of breast cancer. After the initial shock, she decided to take these challenges as an invitation to completely transform her life. She embarked on a year-and-a-half course of holistic self-healing. During this time she connected with an inner wisdom, resolve, and strength she never knew she had. She credits her daily practice of meditation for her ability to stay calm and actually thrive during what could have been a devastating time.
Now, 20 years later, Pauline is healthy and happy, and lives a soul-centered life. She is dedicated to teaching all she has learned and continues to learn from her healing quest. Pauline is a sought-after presenter for local and national medical and physical therapy conferences and facilitates meditation classes at the Mayo Clinic. She teaches yoga and meditation classes to individuals, groups, and businesses in the community, and provides coaching via telephone or Skype. She earned her certification at the McLean Meditation Institute's Meditation Teacher Academy in Sedona, Arizona. She is the founder of Phoenix Yoga and Meditation.
