    In 2010, I began to exhibit the physical and mental symptoms that result from stress. Stress from work, financial obligations, the past, and the future. My health provider prescribed medication to aid in the health concerns that manifested in my body and in my moods. I reached out to friends and others to find solace with the mental pressures I was experiencing. It was then I realized I was looking outward for help with what was happening within me. This is when I began looking for alternative solutions to my stress. One that depended upon the most important person in my life—me!

    In search of an answer, I turned to authors such as Deepak Chopra and Dr. David Simon, authors recognized for their knowledge of mind and body health. I began reading the physical and mental benefits of meditation. Three years later, while stressors continue to be a factor in my life, I have a meditation practice which ensures these stressors remain external to me and don’t negatively affect my mental well being. Through meditation, I have been able to eliminate the prescriptions that were once prescribed for ailments resulting from stress. I am delighted to be certified to teach the Simple, Easy, Every Day (SEED) Meditation method.
